The Waterberg Trust funds the salary of Sister Grace, an experienced school nurse working in government schools and the surrounding community in the Waterberg, South Africa. Based at Meetsetshehla Secondary School near Vaalwater, she provides essential healthcare, wellbeing support, and safeguarding to children and vulnerable community members.
Sister Grace’s work is practical, compassionate, and deeply rooted in trust. She supports learners one-to-one, works in classrooms, and makes home visits, helping children stay well, safe, and able to remain in education.
What Sister Grace does
Sister Grace works directly with learners, teachers and families across local schools and surrounding communities. Her role includes:
